Heli-Maarja Varvas

My name is Heli-Maarja, I am a 2D artist.

I am a professional game artist creating and reworking assets for slot games. When presented with the opportunity, I have also worked on other types of games, like bingo for example.

After graduating from Estonian Academy of Arts, specializing in "Sculpture and Installation", I was an apprentice for a goldsmith and then worked as one for the next few years. While I was studying at university, I didn't get too many opportunities to work with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, so I had to learn them on my own. 

Wanting to get into game art, I applied to Gamesys and spent over 5 years working with cool people on slot games. I have participated in numerous Game Jams as a 2D artist. 

I love working in a team! I believe that an artist can never stop learning and am ready to tackle any new challenges.
